Job summary

Integral Care in Travis County, Texas, is seeking a versatile Medical Support Specialist to perform clinical and clerical duties on-site. You will assist medical staff, take vital signs, give injections, and respond to emergencies while managing administrative tasks within EHR systems.

This full-time role in a trauma-sensitive environment offers comprehensive benefits and on-going cross-training across front-office and medical support services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Aide.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical and nursing staff in client care, including vital signs and injections.
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate front-office tasks.
• Support clerical duties: inventory control, chart audits, and report running.
• Handle billing, record keeping, and scheduling via inter- and intra-agency EHRs.
• Work with initiative and maintain trauma-sensitive practices as needed.
• Occasional travel between sites as required.

Job Summary

Thepurpose of this position is to perform a variety of moderately complex medical and clerical work in support of the unit operations. This position requires cross training of clerical front office and medical support services. Clinical responsibilities include assisting medical and nursing staff in support of client care such as but not limited to obtaining vital signs, giving injections, and responding to medical emergencies. Clerical duties may include but are not limited to facilitating client flow and monitoring processes such as inventory control, clinical chart audits, report running, billing, record keeping, and scheduling via inter- and intra-agency Electronic Health Records. This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. Occasional travel may be required between sites and performance of both clinical and clerical duties.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.
