Job summary

Integral Care in Austin, Texas seeks a Residential Care Assistant to support up to 25 adult clients in a structured, trauma-informed setting. You will assist with daily care, safety checks, and supervising activities under supervision from nursing and program leadership.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Texas driver’s license, and at least one year of client-care experience. Regular full-time hours and on-site shifts apply, with potential shift differentials and a crisis

Responsibilities

• Assist, observe and supervise residents to maintain safety and provide guidance.
• Support rehabilitative client-care activities including medication safety checks and daily routines.
• Transport clients as needed, assist with programming, meals, and hygiene.
• Intervene in crisis de-escalation and promote participation in therapeutic activities.

Job Summary:

The Residential Care Assistant position is located at 403 E. 15th St. at the Therapeutic Diversion Program (TDP). This program serves up to 25 adult clients residing at TDP. The primary purpose of the position is to assist, observe and supervise residents in order to maintain appropriate safety care and guidance with some ability to perform rehabilitative direct client-care work, assisting adult individuals with mental health and/or substance use diagnosis with their daily care needs and routines, to include safety checks, observing clients' self administration of medication, client transportation, pick up/drop offs, cooking, cleaning, support with attending and engaging in programming milieu, etc. The position requires staff to foster, motivate and promote positive interactions and intervene in crisis de-escalation as well as encourage clients' participation in social and developmental activities within the program perimeters. This work is performed under the supervision of the unit leadership, Practice Manager, RN Supervisor, and/or Practice Administrator. The Crisis Residential Assistant must be able to work independently, under the direction of the supervisor(s), within a team dynamic and structure of the therapeutic environment of care.

Regular, predictable attendance is considered to be an essential requirement for this position. Other duties may be assigned. May require a flexible work schedule.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

License:

Workdays:Varies.

Salary: $22.15 an hour,plus an additional 10% crisis stipend.

Position may be eligible for an additional shift differential pay.

• Second Shift: $3.25/hour.
• Third Shift: $7.25/hour.
