Job summary

Norton Healthcare is seeking a Coord, Access Center to schedule patient appointments across the Norton Healthcare system using the electronic medical records system. You will coordinate with primary care physicians and specialists, following clinical protocols and payer rules to ensure timely access to care.

The role handles inbound and outbound calls and electronic requests, directing patients to the most appropriate care option within Norton’s network, and supporting high-volume scheduling

Qualifications

• One year customer service experience with external and/or internal customers
• One year experience in administration, clerical, and scheduling processes
• One year experience in a high volume setting, directly interacting with and addressing customer needs
• One year experience in a medical office

Responsibilities

• Schedules medical provider appointments for patients throughout the Norton Healthcare system using electronic medical records
• Schedules based on clinical protocols, availability, and payer source
• Manages appointment requests from phone (inbound/outbound) and electronic communications
• Directs patients to the best option for medical care within Norton Healthcare
