Job summary

Sonida Senior Living seeks a Medicaid Waiver Programs Specialist to serve as the organization’s subject matter expert across states. You will monitor evolving Medicaid regulations, manage provider enrollment, and oversee payer relationships for the company’s senior living communities.

The role requires 3+ years in Medicaid administration, knowledge of Waiver programs, and experience with NPI/LPI enrollment, MCO/MCE contracting, and cost reporting in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Medicaid program administration, payer relations, or provider enrollment.
• Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs in at least one state (IN, TX, FL, MN preferred).
• Familiarity with NPI/LPI enrollment processes.
• Experience in senior living, long-term care, or HCBS.
• Background in MCO/MCE contracting or rate negotiation.
• Experience working in a multi-site operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Medicaid legislation, policy changes, and procedure updates across all states.
• Translate regulatory changes into actionable guidance for communities and operations teams.
• Maintain knowledge of room/board rates by state, including PNA amounts.
• Manage renewal of Medicaid contracts and establish new MCO/MCE relationships.
• Maintain provider enrollment records across states and assist with cost reports.
• Support communities in applying to become Medicaid Waiver providers and coordinate data gathering.
