Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) seeks a Project Manager II to report to the MCS PMO Director within the Operations department. This role manages moderately complex projects, supporting governance, portfolio management, and standard project practices.

Supervision is limited, with initiative and judgment exercised to ensure timely delivery. The MCS Operations unit delivers infrastructure for managed care and fee-for-service Medicaid, serving millions

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management or related roles.
• Experience with Medicaid or complex health systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through lifecycle from initiation to closeout.
• Support portfolio governance, intake, and reporting processes.
• Coordinate meetings, decisions, and action items across stakeholders.
• Document closeout activities and lessons learned.
• Perform other duties in support of MCS operations.
