Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) seeks a Project Manager IV to oversee complex MES modernization initiatives from Austin. This role focuses on planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and delivering technology upgrades to support Texas Medicaid programs.

Required: PMP certification, 5+ years of managing large technical projects, and a four-year degree. Telework eligibility is available; usual day shift with travel up to 5% may apply.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience managing and coordinating complex technical projects, such as cross-departmental initiatives, multi-phase implementations, or programs involving external vendors or regulatory compliance.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is required.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business, project management, systems development and implementation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, oversight, coordination, planning, and evaluation for MES-related projects using standard PM practices.
• Formulates and executes plans to communicate methodologies to stakeholders and team members.
• Manages comprehensive project plans, milestones, and deliverables for MES modernization initiatives.
