Job summary

Allure HCS is seeking a Medicaid Specialist Assistant to provide on-site support within one of our skilled nursing facilities in Illinois. The role focuses on accurate Medicaid processing for residents and collaboration with the Corporate Medicaid team.

The part-time position (24 hours per week) requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Training and development are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility and terminology.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with the flexibility to adapt to changing workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Review daily facility census for residents requiring Medicaid eligibility review.
  • Identify Medicaid-eligible admissions and notify the Corporate Medicaid Specialist to ensure timely admission into the Illinois MEDI system.
  • Print and organize resident face sheets and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Review Illinois Medicaid verification requests and determine which required documents are available and which must still be obtained.
  • Communicate professionally with facility staff, residents, families, and outside agencies.
  • Contact Powers of Attorney (POA), responsible parties, family members, or other authorized representatives to obtain required documentation.
  • Assist with monthly reporting and ongoing follow-up to help ensure Medicaid coverage remains current across assigned facilities.
  • Support Business Office Managers with annual Medicaid redeterminations and related documentation as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records while protecting confidential resident information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Allure HCS, a leading provider of skilled nursing and healthcare services, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medicaid Support Specialist to join our Corporate Medicaid team. As a Medicaid Specialist Assistant, you will provide on-site support within one of our skilled nursing facilities, Illinois, ensuring timely Medicaid processing for residents.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
