Job summary

State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge is seeking a Recovery Analyst to specialize in Third-Party Liability (TPL) recovery related to estate, trauma, special needs trusts, and restitution recoveries. The role requires advanced Medicaid policy interpretation and collaboration with LDH’s legal and investigative units.

The position supports policy development, complex claim research, and coordination with families, attorneys, and insurers to recover funds in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6 years of professional work experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in Third-Party Liability Recovery related to Estate, Trauma, Special Needs Trusts, and restitution recoveries.
• Develop advanced knowledge of Medicaid and Eligibility policy to interpret Medicaid claims.
• Support development and implementation of TPL policies and procedural changes.
• Perform advanced research of claims and determine recovery amounts.
• Coordinate with LDH Bureau of Legal Service, families, attorneys and third parties in recovery caseload.
• Assist in system changes and participation in recovery system projects.
