Job summary

LSU New Orleans seeks a Program Analyst to act as SME for billing and premium collections for LAP, FOA, and Buy-In Medicare payments. You will be the primary contact for LAP/FOA inquiries from members and eligibility workers, resolving escalated issues as needed.

You will monitor the Buy-In system with LaMEDS/MMIS/CMS, participate in planning and testing of changes, and assist in training staff while coordinating with Medicaid technology teams and Program Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of professional work experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 1 year professional experience with MAGI and NON-MAGI related policies and procedures.
• Minimum 1 year professional experience with MMIS and LaMEDS.
• Demonstrates excellent analytical abilities with strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and complete tasks.
• Proven ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities while working independently and applying strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools effectively for communication, documentation, and data management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for billing/premium collections for LAP, FOA, and Medicare premium payments for Buy-In; may stand-in for Program Managers as SME.
• Primary contact for LAP and FOA inquiries from members, eligibility workers, and external entities; resolve escalated issues as needed.
• Monitor reliability and accuracy of Buy-In System as it interfaces with LaMEDS, MMIS, and CMS.
• Participate in planning, development, design, testing, and implementation of changes and new specifications.
• Assist in monitoring, identifying, and reporting changes in trends to identify potential system issues and impacts.
• Coordinate with Medicaid’s Technology teams to identify system issues and work toward resolution; coordinate with Program Managers.
