LSU New Orleans seeks a qualified individual to join the Department Medicaid Call Center to provide information on Medicaid programs and perform real-time eligibility determinations within the CSU, MSD. You will support enrollment and retention in LaCHIP and Medicaid and navigate LaMEDS and related systems to help members and providers access services.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with relevant experience and strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s degree with 3 years professional experience, or 6 years professional experience in lieu of the degree.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up.
• Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsabilités

• Receive all inbound calls and provide information on Medicaid programs.
• Assist with real-time Medicaid eligibility determinations in CSU/MSD.
• Promote enrollment and retention in LaCHIP and Medicaid statewide.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicaid programs, policy and procedures.
• Use LaMEDS to research records, complete applications and renewals.
• Collaborate with Medicaid partners to ensure timely services.
• Participate in outreach efforts and emergency preparedness as directed.
• May execute outbound outreach campaigns.
• Other tasks as assigned.
