Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration in Florida is seeking a Program Consultant to enhance Medicaid policy and program delivery. Based in the Bureau of Medicaid Policy, you will conduct research, draft policy language, and support training and communication with stakeholders.

The role requires flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment to improve health care access and quality for Florida’s residents.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience with program planning, research, and evaluation.
• Three years of professional experience with systems and management analysis.
• Three years of professional experience with research and demonstrated application of research skills.
• Three years of professional experience implementing and managing complex projects.
• Three years of professional experience serving as a lead or assistant on a major research project.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research by performing preliminary screening and article selection from literature searches and prepare and present findings.
• Draft and revise reports and protocols, review drafts, edit for content, and prepare tables with accurate data.
• Stay informed about Medicare policies, Medicaid-related research, and demonstration projects for diverse populations.
• Conduct research on topics using state library resources and reliable sources to collect, record, analyze, and evaluate facts.
• Develop policy language for Medicaid federal authorities and coordinate grant proposals and documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to ensure consistency in service/program operation and communicate data and information.
• Design, prepare, and evaluate statewide training programs; conduct statewide trainings as required.
