Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) is seeking an AHC Administrator - SES to lead the Behavioral Health Policy Unit and advance Florida’s Medicaid policy initiatives. The role requires strategic planning, policy development, and cross‑agency collaboration to improve access, quality, and cost-effectiveness of care across Florida.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in health care administration or human services.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Two years of experience implementing and managing complex projects.
• Two years of experience developing health care related policies.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Behavioral Health Policy Unit within the Medicaid program.
• Coordinate policy development, handbook updates, and fee schedules for Behavioral Health Care Services.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on policy goals.
• Plan and supervise staff, training, and performance evaluations.
• Represent the Agency in meetings, hearings, and policy development activities.
