UnitedHealth Group's OSC/Lewin team is seeking a Health Data Analytics Consultant to support Medicaid data and policy work, including T-MSIS data, to help implement and operate payment models. This hands-on role partners with senior analysts and project leaders to deliver analytic outputs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare data experience in a consulting, research, government, or business setting.
• 1+ years of direct Medicaid data experience, including T-MSIS.
• Experience with healthcare claims and enrollment data analysis.
• Translate business, policy or program requirements into analytic specifications.
• Understanding of Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, claims and encounter data.
• Familiarity with Medicaid payment and delivery systems (MCO and fee-for-service).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Strong oral and written communication and ability to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicaid data (including T-MSIS) to support payment model implementation.
• Translate policy into data specifications, business rules and analytic code.
• Develop and maintain SQL code to build analytic files and model outputs.
• Use Python and other tools to process data and ensure quality.
• Support attribution, payment calculations, quality measurement in models.
• Assess Medicaid data quality across states and delivery systems.
• Analyze Medicaid data to support client needs.
• Document specifications, methodologies, code, assumptions and QA procedures.
• Perform QA checks on analytic outputs and deliverables.
• Prepare tables, reports, and presentations summarizing findings.
• Collaborate with policy, operations and analytics staff on project teams.
