Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of Adult Medicaid, Special Assistance policies and procedures.
• Must have thorough knowledge of NCFAST.
• Good interviewing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to ask appropriate questions and gather information.
• Ability to refer clients to appropriate agencies or community services.
• Must have good documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs intake duties: interviews applicants to obtain information needed to determine eligibility.
• Verifies applicant information including income, Social Security benefits and other data.
• Processes paperwork and applications in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains client case files and updates NCFAST entries.
• Keeps clients informed about application status.
• Performs case maintenance and redeterminations as required.
