New York State Department of Health in Albany seeks a Project Assistant within the Division of Operations and Systems, Bureau of Medicaid Eligibility and Client Management. You will direct analysis and revision of service requests and manage documentation for As Is and To Be IT solutions.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in information technology operations support, incident and problem management, enterprise systems support, or healthcare information systems administration.
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted by four years of specialized experience or an associate’s degree and two years of specialized service. A master's degree may substitute for one year of specialized experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct the analysis and revision of Service Request and manage supporting documentation capturing As Is and To Be processes and IT solutions.
• Assist with incident response, including detection, containment, remediation, and reporting.
• Identify and escape scheduling problems connected with monthly M&O releases and patch releases.
• Monitor the progress of monthly releases and elevate related issues to M&O Lead.
• Evaluate outcomes of systems testing and confirm results align with expectations.
• Define and monitor reporting dashboards for incidents and systems' performance.
• Sample system performance data and perform detailed review.
• Oversee selected Systems Integrator staff and ensure adherence to processes.
• Serve as an expert of systems functions within MECM and AMS and guide customer units.
