Job summary

The New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General seeks a qualified candidate for the Bureau of Casualty & Estate Recovery, within the Division of Compliance and Self-Disclosure. The role supports program oversight of NY's Casualty & Estate Recovery, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and managing related contracts and vendors.

Duties include sampling and reviewing cases, handling inquiries from OMIG units and the public, tracking concerns, and recommending program

Qualifications

• Desired written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with Medicaid programs and compliance is preferred.
• Ability to research and apply learned information to policy needs.

Responsibilities

• Prospectively sample and review case management data for accuracy and timeliness.
• Receive and process inquiries from OMIG units, the public, and other agencies.
• Identify stakeholder concerns, track resolutions, and assess program impact.
• Collaborate to identify policy recommendations and update procedures.
• Assist in maintaining the Bureau Manual and related protocols.
