Job summary

The New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General is seeking a qualified individual for the Bureau of Casualty & Estate Recovery. The role involves overseeing case reviews, responding to inquiries, tracking stakeholder concerns, and recommending policy improvements within the Medicaid integrity framework.

Ideal candidates will have relevant Medicaid program knowledge, a degree, and the ability to work with cross‑agency teams.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with Medicaid Compliance Program data.
• Associate’s degree and one year of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• Degree must be awarded by an accredited institution; if foreign, provide equivalency verification.
• Clearly indicate how you meet minimum qualifications in your resume.

Responsibilities

• Prospectively sample and review cases across all areas and types within the case management database system and reports to ensure accuracy, timeliness and workflow within C&E recovery efforts.
• Receive and process incoming C&E related inquiries from OMIG units, the public, other NYS agencies, and local county DSS offices.
• Identify and track concerns/questions raised by stakeholders, their resolution, and impacts to the larger program or existing processes.
• Collaborate with team and management to identify program and policy recommendations and update Bureau procedures.
