Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking an Eligibility Specialist II, Team Lead (MAGI) to lead frontline eligibility determinations for Medicaid. You will collect and review documentation from applicants, determine eligibility, and ensure accurate processing of reviews and changes.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to policy details, and teamwork. Responsibilities include escalation as a subject matter expert, maintaining records, and participating in required trainings.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; experience in customer services, social services, human services, and/or Medicaid processing preferred.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Collect and evaluate documentation from applicants to determine Medicaid eligibility.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of eligibility determinations and changes.
• Attend mandatory meetings, trainings, and events; maintain privacy and confidentiality.
