Job summary

The Jacobson Group is seeking an Medicaid Eligibility Specialist in the United States to assess eligibility for Medicaid enrollment and to communicate rules to members, acting as a liaison with state agencies. You will assist redeterminations, gather documentation, and maintain accurate logs in Salesforce for timely processing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience (preferred in a managed care environment)
• Working knowledge of Medicaid eligibility requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility assessments for Medicaid enrollment.
• Communicate Medicaid rules and regulations to members and prospective members.
• Serve as a liaison between members and the appropriate state agency.
• Assist existing members with Medicaid redetermination and gather required documentation.
• Initiate follow-up to ensure timely processing of applications and documents with members and caseworkers.
• Maintain logs of Medicaid eligibility and complete re‑determinations.
• Document progress notes in Salesforce for member or prospect files.
• Answer calls from members, sales reps, and brokers to provide high‑quality service.
• Track client inquiries in internal systems for proper follow-up and resolution.
