Job summary

Wake County Social Services in Raleigh, NC is seeking Adult Medicaid - Eligibility Caseworker II to join the Economic Self-Sufficiency team. You will assess clients, determine initial and ongoing Medicaid eligibility, and navigate NCFAST and OnBase to authorize benefits and manage caseloads.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, interact with clients by phone or in person, and support multiple programs depending on function.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED
• Three years of job-related experience
• Equivalent education and experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide case management service by completing an assessment and determining initial as well as on-going eligibility for Medicaid
• Evaluate individuals/families for other Economic Service Programs
• Enter all required data into computer systems in order to authorize benefits
• Refer household to outside community resources if needed
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all policy and procedures by attending training and keeping abreast of all policy changes
• Providing back up to other Caseworkers
