Medicaid Eligibility Investigator - Bilingual Spanish Only

This position is for a bilingual Spanish-speaking Medicaid Eligibility Investigator, responsible for assisting patients with Medicaid applications and related processes.

Position Details
  • Location: Queens, NY, with occasional visits to Nassau and Suffolk Counties and Department of Social Services offices.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday with alternating weekends; onsite work at Melville, NY for training, then in Queens, NY.
  • Salary Range: $49,000 - $58,500 per year, based on experience and skills.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with patients and representatives at hospital facilities and during appointments.
  • Process Medicaid and NYS Marketplace applications accurately and timely.
  • Schedule follow-ups and collect necessary documentation.
  • Update hospital and other systems for application transmission.
  • Participate in educational activities and seminars.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience with Medicaid processes and third-party verification.
  • NYS Certified Application Counselor certification.
