About the Position
Key Responsibilities:
Receive Medicaid Member referrals or direct inquiries, establishing connection and rapport with clients. Gain an understanding of client needs and how to support them, depending on eligibility and services available.
Conduct social care screenings of Medicaid Members using a standardized screening tool. Record results of the screening on the SCN data platform.
Become familiar with the SCN program and the available services.
Pay Rate & Benefits:
Starting $16.00/hour depending on experience Non-exempt, full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication skills and comfort with communicating in person and by phone, email, text message, and other mediums.
Demonstration of a helpful, positive, and nonjudgmental approach, showing respect and fairness for each client and for all stakeholders.
Attention to detail and ability to understand and follow complex program guidelines and requirements.
Comfort with computers and web-based systems. Familiarity with databases ie. Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:
Fluency in both English and another language, such as Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Cantonese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Arabic, and Bengali, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Self-directed and able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
Experience working in a call center.
Experience working with diverse populations and sensitive information.
Associates degree and/or 2 years of community outreach experience.

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
