Job summary

The Forsyth County Department of Social Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist I to provide administrative and operational support for LTC, CAP, and PACE eligibility teams in Medicaid services. The role emphasizes high-volume workflow coordination, document tracking, intake routing, and timely processing of CNRs and UMN requests.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with two years of paraprofessional or clerical public contact experience; or graduation with substitution of higher education.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments within structured deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and clear written and oral communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Receives, reviews, tracks, and uploads CNRs and Innovation Memo letters for CAP recipients.
• Reviews CNR documentation to determine CAP code changes requiring caseworker review.
• Maintains organized tracking logs for CNRs, program changes, UMN requests, FL2 expirations, and error referrals.
• Drafts professional acknowledgment emails, status updates, and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
• Supports the team with data entry, document uploads, and workflow coordination activities.
