Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Program Areas Communications Supervisor in St. Paul to lead large-scale communications strategies for Medicaid and MinnesotaCare programs.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience providing or consulting in the communications field across an organization and/or business.
• Advanced knowledge of Medicaid policy, program operations, financing, waivers and federal-state requirements.
• Experience in public relations or communications, media relations, social media, web communications and campaigns.
• Ability to translate complex policy decisions into clear public communications.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic program workload alignment and ensure compliance with agency priorities and labor agreements.
• Provide strategic leadership for communications related to Medicaid and MinnesotaCare programs.
• Develop and implement communications plans translating complex policy decisions into accessible information.
• Lead agencywide strategic communications projects and evaluate outcomes using data and trend analysis.
