Job summary

ClearView Healthcare Management is looking for a Skilled Nursing Home Billing Specialist with Medicaid billing experience in Louisville, KY. You will verify eligibility, review census, prepare and review claims for accuracy, and bill Medicaid and related payors while supporting the daily revenue cycle.

You bring at least 1 year of Medicaid billing experience (Kentucky and Tennessee preferred), strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medicaid billing experience (Kentucky and Tennessee required).
• BOM experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of managed insurance timely filing deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SNF billing experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and respect for confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility when needed.
• Collaborate with Business Office Manager by reviewing and balancing the daily census.
• Prepare and review patient claims for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies.
• Bill claims to Medicaid and Hospice & Respite Care payors (primary and secondary).
• Track claim status and resolve rejections daily.
• Work on Medicaid Aging daily.
• Participate in the month-end close process.
• Spot billing trends and carrier-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date on Medicaid and insurance billing practices through ongoing education.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
