Job summary

Caring for Family of Companies in Oregon seeks a Billing Specialist to manage weekly and monthly billing across Medicaid/MMIS, LTCI, VA, Private Pay, OPI, and ElderPlace, ensuring timely processing for month-end and year-end closes.

Responsibilities include entering client authorizations, printing/in sending Private Pay invoices, and resolving denials promptly while maintaining accurate records across branches. Strong HIPAA awareness and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounting, accounts receivable, or administrative support.
  • Experience with insurance billing, Medicaid/MMIS, authorizations, or claims processing preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, data entry, and billing/accounting software.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping practices.
  • Able to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels.
  • Committed to compliance, HIPAA standards, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • Prepare, print, and mail Private Pay invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support month-end and year-end close by completing all billing per Company deadlines and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate team members to promptly resolve and reprocess billing denials.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation across all payer types and branches.
  • Perform clerical duties, including sorting and filing correspondence and preparing reports as needed.
  • Cross-train on additional duties to support departmental and company operations.

  • Background in senior care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or in-home care
