Job summary

ClearView Healthcare Management is seeking a Skilled Nursing Home Billing Specialist with Medicaid billing experience to support our Kentucky and Tennessee facilities. You will verify patient eligibility, prepare and review claims, and collaborate with the Business Office Manager to keep the daily census balanced and billing accurate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year Medicaid billing experience (KY and TN required).
• BOM experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of timely filing deadlines for managed insurance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SNF billing experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility when needed.
• Collaborate with the facility's Business Office Manager by reviewing and balancing the daily census.
• Prepare and review patient claims for accuracy and completeness, resolving discrepancies.
• Bill claims to Medicaid and Hospice & Respite Care payors (primary and secondary).
• Track claim status and resolve rejections daily.
• Work on Medicaid Aging daily.
• Participate in the month-end close process.
• Spot billing trends and carrier-related issues.
• Stay up-to-date on Medicaid and insurance billing practices through ongoing education.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
