The Cumberland Mountain Community Services Board is seeking a Reimbursement Technician to support billing and reimbursement activities across agency locations in Virginia. You will handle transportation billing with major payers, verify insurance, and submit authorizations as needed while supporting reception at each site.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, billing experience, and strong computer/data entry skills. Travel to agency offices is required; full-time days at Allison Building.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Experience in a professional office setting is essential.
• Billing/reimbursement experience preferred.
• Excellent computer and data entry skills required.
• Good accounting and math skills; strong written and oral communication.
• Willingness to travel and cross-train as required.
• Ability to use basic office equipment including EHR and billing systems.

Responsabilités

• Receiving transportation logs from agency locations and billing transportation to managed care organizations.
• Verifying Medicaid and other insurances; posting service tickets and billing logs when applicable; posting payments and downloading remittances.
• Monitoring remittances from third party payers, pulling claims, and transferring items to client responsibility or secondary payor.
• Posting corrections to payment accounts; monitoring EOBs for payment or correction.
• Verifying insurance, informing clinical staff when authorization is due and submitting authorizations to Medicaid for various services; review and correct denials.
• Providing back-up and support to the receptionist offices at each location; cross-training as required.
• Other reimbursement duties as assigned.
