The State of Mississippi, Department of Medicaid, seeks a supervisor to oversee staff and administer federal/state financial assistance programs in Pearl River County. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and experience with eligibility determinations.

Responsibilities include policy interpretation, staff training, and ensuring timeliness and confidentiality of case records. This is a full-time position with the Medicaid Division in Mississippi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sociology, psychology, health or related field required or equivalent.
• Considerable experience in eligibility-type determination.
• Lead worker and/or supervisory and training experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supervise assigned staff including selection, performance management and training.
• Plan, organize and supervise administration of federal/state/local financial assistance programs.
• Interpret and train on policies for SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, and related programs.
• Track and ensure compliance with state mandates for timeliness and accuracy.
• Monitor case records for policy adherence and confidentiality.
• Participate in community events, public speaking and fair hearing appeals.
• Track data MEDS/MESA; evaluate reports; manage renewals and changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
