Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience with health care auditing and data analysis.
• Ability to review regulatory or policy language and apply requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Willingness to travel as needed by clients and projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports.
• Analyze health care provider financial information.
• Perform reimbursement calculations.
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.
• Conduct desk reviews and various on-site audits.
• Research billing and reimbursement compliance with Medicaid and government regulations.
• Review Federal and State policies related to audit types prior to auditing.
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings per regulations and standards.
• Demonstrate excellence in communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of protected health information.
