Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or CPA candidacy, and experience in health care auditing with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Experience with health care auditing and data analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review Medicaid provider cost reports and healthcare provider financial information.
• Perform reimbursement calculations and support decisions with written documentation.
• Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits as needed.
• Research billing and reimbursement compliance with Medicaid and government regulations.
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings per regulations and standards.
• Communicate findings clearly and maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
