Responsibilities

• Verify services entered in health record.
• Check for failed activities or failed claims and make adjustments for billing.
• Notify management of errors that the program must correct.
• Look up authorizations electronically.
• Notify programs of authorizations still outstanding.
• Approve all claims.
• Check Medicaid remits for denied claims and correct as needed.
• Check program aging and investigate unpaid claims.
• Process Medicaid and Medicare third-party billing.
• Provide information on medical and dental insurance.
