SERV Behavioral Health System, Inc. seeks a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to lead complex billing and claims submission from our Clifton, NJ area operation. The role emphasizes denial management, aging analyses, and reconciliation of reimbursements within behavioral health.

You will train and supervise Accounts Receivable staff, assist onboarding, and ensure accurate coding and timely postings across Medicaid FFS NJMAPPS and our current EHR system. Some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in revenue.
• Two years' experience in accounts receivable.
• High School diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for in-state travel.
• Experience in behavioral health billing and revenue cycle management.
• Proficiency with medical billing software and EHR systems.

Responsabilités

• Prepares and submits claims to insurance companies for behavioral health services.
• Reviews and resubmits denied or rejected claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Monitors aging accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts.
• Assists with the payment posting process when needed.
• Recommends strategies to reduce denial rates and improve reimbursement processes.
• Identifies corrected claims and processes all claim appeals.
• Ensures secondary billing is accurate and timely, when applicable.
• Follows up and escalates claims as outlined in procedures.
