As a Medicaid Analyst Supervisor, you’ll lead a team dedicated to accurate, timely, and high-quality service while ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements. From coaching and developing staff to monitoring casework, resolving complex issues, and strengthening quality controls, you’ll play a key role in protecting program integrity and ensuring Louisiana residents receive the assistance they need.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Six years of social services experience; OR
  • Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of social services experience; OR
  • A bachelor's degree plus three years of social services experience; OR
  • An advanced degree plus two years of social services experience.
Experience Substitution

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties
  • Supervises and provides guidance to Medicaid Analysts to ensure work is performed accurately and in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Monitors unit workflow, including case distribution, workloads, productivity, and quality to ensure state, regional, and national performance goals are met.
  • Conducts mandatory case reviews and analyzes discrepancies to identify and correct errors before federal or state audits.
  • Prepares and reviews weekly and monthly statistical reports and other operational data to monitor unit performance and identify areas requiring improvement.
  • Interviews applicants, recipients, and complainants regarding fair hearing rights, service concerns, and potential adjustments, and conducts investigations as needed.
  • Conducts special investigations and studies and develops and maintains corrective action documentation to address compliance and performance issues.
  • Manages personnel activities within the unit, including staff evaluations, onboarding and offboarding, leave monitoring, and recommendations regarding retention, promotion, demotion, or separation.
