Job summary

Mathematica, Inc. is seeking an Advisory Services Analyst- Project Manager with a strong interest in managing Medicaid/Marketplace projects. This advisory role blends project management with technical assistance to improve health insurance program operations and care delivery.

The role involves coordinating 2–3 projects at a time, directing timelines and budgets, and providing client-ready analyses and reporting. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public policy, public administration, business, or related field, or commensurate experience.
• Strong management skills and ability to monitor costs on multimillion-dollar contracts.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to juggle priorities under deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and creative thinking.
• Professional experience in a similar field or position.
• Interest in improving Medicaid/Marketplace programs through project management and technical assistance.
• Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and organization to keep Medicaid projects on time and on budget.
• Conduct project management activities and design tools to organize data and manage teams.
• Analyze project performance, costs, and resource utilization.
• Implement and maintain project collaboration and knowledge tools (MS Project, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, Excel).
• Provide technical assistance to state and federal health agencies and providers.
• Draft workplans, memos, and contractual deliverables.
