Job summary

Durango School District 9-R is seeking a Media Tech/Instructional Paraeducator for Florida Mesa Elementary School in Durango, CO. The role covers media center duties and instructional support, working 37.5 hours weekly across 9 months, with dual assignments as a Media Tech and instructional paraeducator.

Starting ASAP, the position includes benefits and a prorated $1,687.50 bonus. Responsibilities include supporting digital resources, Chromebooks, and classroom activities while supervising

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CDE/ESSA qualifications or 2 years of college
• Paraprofessional test may be required prior to hire
• Experience in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide media center supervision and assist with materials and resources
• Instruct students, staff, and patrons with digital resources and tools
• Distribute and inventory Chromebooks; manage loaner devices
• Support technology to promote digital literacy
• Supervise volunteers and student assistants
• Assist with lesson plans and classroom setup as needed
• Monitor student behavior in various locations
• May assist with office duties and maintain calendars and records
• Oversee media center usage calendar
• Engage in ongoing professional development
