Job summary

Saint Francis Health System seeks a Media Specialist for the Education Department in Tulsa, OK. The role provides full audiovisual support for classes, meetings, conferences, and Mass broadcasts, requiring an associate/technical degree and 3–4 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years related experience.

(Day Shift)some weekends Required.Job Summary: The Media Specialist provides a full contingent of audio visual support services to Saint Francis Health System in a variety of settings for classes, meetings, conferences, and other educational or organizational functions.Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or Technical Degree in communication, graphic design, journalism, mass communication or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.Work Experience: 3 - 4 years related experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Windows X and Windows Operating Systems and related applications for production and editing projects. These include Mac/Apple/OS, Photoshop, FinalCut Pro, and MS PowerPoint. InDesign, Illustrator and other Adobe products desired. Working knowledge of all audio visual fields: photography, videography, sound, and related technological devices. Effective interpersonal written, organizational and oral communication skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to flexibly interact with coworkers and clients, often under time limitations. Ability to transport, assemble, maintain and troubleshoot needed repairs for equipment used in multimedia production. Must have current Oklahoma State Driver's License and meet the Saint Francis Health System driving policy requirements.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Daily physical room set-ups for seminars, programs, class offerings, and meetings. Supports the broadcast of daily Mass. Provides audio visual, graphic design and facility scheduling support services for Health System educational and organizational activities with functional knowledge of computers and related applications, projectors, DVDs, digital cameras and TVs/monitors. Cross trained to support learning management system functions. Develops, creates and publishes presentations, videos, and print materials in collaboration with educators, administrative staff and others as required. Trains educators and others on the use of related technology. Technical resource for organizational staff, presenters, and other clients for scheduled educational seminars and informational events. Supports programs and events on and off of the main campus as required or assigned. Schedule includes call back time. Maintains equipment. Repairs or coordinates repairs with internal or external resource. Provides input for equipment and technology purchases including equipment upgrades and/or replacements. Maintains equipment inventory, supplies, and videography/photography collections. Maintains related archives. Responsible for staying current with technology in support of departmental and organizational goals.Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers.
