Blaze Media is seeking a Media Relations Coordinator to support the company’s media relations and external communications efforts across its brands, shows, talent, and corporate initiatives.
The Media Relations Coordinator will help identify, develop and execute media opportunities that expand Blaze Media’s reach, grow audiences for its shows, strengthen the visibility of its talent, and increase the company effectively within the broader media conversation. The role requires someone who understands how newsrooms operate, recognizes what makes a story timely and relevant, and can move quickly from an idea to effective outreach and execution.
A key focus of the role will be securing strategic appearances for Blaze hosts and talent across external media platforms while bringing high-value guests and voices onto Blaze programming. This is an execution-oriented position with meaningful responsibility for day-to-day media relations. The Media Relations Coordinator will work closely with Blaze leadership, marketing, editorial teams, producers, and talent.
The strongest candidate will combine the instincts of a journalist with the organizational discipline of a communications professional. They should understand what makes an effective pitch, know when an opportunity is worth pursuing, and be comfortable handling the details necessary to turn an idea into an actual media appearance or placement.
This role is particularly suited to someone who follows the news closely, writes cleanly, works quickly, is well organized and driven. Also, is energized by the challenge of turning relationships and ideas into meaningful media opportunities for a national media company.
