Job summary

247Hire is seeking a lab support technician in South San Francisco to produce microbiological and cell culture media, buffers, and reagents for R&D teams. You will prepare glassware and equipment, maintain inventory with FIFO, and operate autoclaves and benchtop instruments. Strong attention to SOPs and safety is required.

You will collaborate across groups, update supervisors on progress, participate in 5S initiatives, and adapt to scheduling needs while delivering tasks by day’s end.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in life sciences or equivalent with 3+ years’ relevant experience.
• Experience in media prep and glassware operations.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to follow SOPs, cGMPs, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce microbiological and cell culture media, buffers, and reagents.
• Prepare equipment and glassware for use across R&D groups.
• Maintain inventory and use FIFO stock principles.
• Operate autoclaves, washers, ovens, tanks, and benchtop instruments.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors on status and issues.
• Support process improvement and 5S activities.
• Communicate clearly with customers and lab staff.
• Ensure work completed by end of day.
