Job summary

NBCUniversal Media Operations Manager position at NBC4 & Telemundo 52 in California leads the day-to-day operations of the Media Operations Center, supporting NBC4 & Telemundo 52 teams. You will oversee staffing, workflows, and stakeholder communications to ensure timely, high‑quality media delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, proven experience in large-scale news or live event production, and deep familiarity with media asset management systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years relevant experience, including 3 years of leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading operational functions in mid to major market news or live events.
• Experience with media asset management systems.
• Willing to work in Universal City.
• Available for 24-7 coverage, travel and non-standard hours.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Covered by NBCU ADR program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Media Operations team responsible for delivering media support for content production.
• Provide processes, resourcing and guidance to ensure team objectives & SLAs are met.
• Lead staffing and management of Media Operations Center Staff, including hiring, scheduling and performance management.
• Hire, coach and develop team members throughout their career journey.
• Develop & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.
• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of new workflows, projects and initiatives.
• Partner with 3rd party vendors and internal service providers to best service the needs of the operation and business
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
