Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Operations to oversee production operations within the NBC News creative production department in New York. You will coordinate scenic design, broadcast graphics, remote production and other production-related functions, supporting the VP of Operations as a central liaison across editorial, technical, and creative teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Operations, Communications, Media Production, or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in television production operations, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Understanding of scenic design, broadcast graphics, and remote/live production.
• A self-starter who has strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure news environment.
• Proven track record in budget management and vendor negotiations.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Familiarity with broadcast technology systems, newsroom software, and emerging production tools.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day operations across scenic, graphics, and remote production units.
• Production Excellence: Ensure all deliverables meet brand and broadcast standards; plan and execute sets and workflows.
• Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and negotiate with outside vendors.
• Project Management: Lead cross-departmental initiatives, track deadlines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
