Job summary

Leidos seeks a Journeyman-level Media Malware Analyst to support USCYBERCOM operations at Fort Meade, MD. You will conduct static/dynamic malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence to identify and mitigate sophisticated threats targeting DODIN.

You will prepare technical reports and briefings, collaborate with cyber, intelligence, and operational teams, and maintain current knowledge of APTs, TTPs, and cyber threat trends affecting national security.

Qualifications

• Five+ years’ demonstrated proficiency in malware analysis (static/dynamic), incident handling, and reverse engineering.
• Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, Wireshark, Volatility, and sandbox environments.
• Strong familiarity with network protocols, OS internals (Windows/Linux/UNIX), and cyber threat analysis.
• Ability to produce technical analysis reports and brief leadership through written and oral presentations.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate, relevant analysis to identify and assess emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct forensic analysis of vulnerable or compromised systems and media; analyze adversary TTPs and intrusion artifacts.
• Perform static and dynamic malware analysis including reverse engineering and file extraction.
• Create technical analysis reports and deliver threat briefs to leadership.
• Identify indicators for signature and heuristic development.
• Draft and support implementation of security incident response policies.
• Analyze operational reporting to correlate attack trends and support tool development.
• Collaborate with USCYBERCOM and other elements to enhance situational awareness.
