Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a Media Technician to support the laboratory team in Des Moines, IA. You will work under the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure quality tests and calibrations are performed in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and company procedures.

Responsibilities include media preparation, setting up quality controls, sanitation, and inventory management, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field. Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Reads, understands, and follows management system requirements as relevant to responsibilities, including requirements in the Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions and Methods.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations related to assigned analytical work; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Media preparation and setup of quality controls.
• Identify process difficulties and report to supervisor with proposed solutions.
• Maintain readiness to respond to queries and needs of clients, staff, and coworkers.
