Job summary

Eurofins is seeking a laboratory technician to support daily analytical operations in Des Moines, IA. The role involves handling samples, recording data in the eLIMS system, and performing tests with accuracy and speed.

The position requires a high school diploma or higher and a relevant AS/BS degree. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet regulatory and client deadlines.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail required and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Proficient use of laboratory information management systems (eLIMS).
• Experience plating, plate reading, and sample preparation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
• Adheres to quality manual, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Registers incoming samples and maintains accurate records for QC tests.
• Enters sample data into the eLIMS system accurately and promptly.
• Performs laboratory testing on samples within turnaround goals.
• Verifies results and communicates them to appropriate personnel.
• Identifies non-conformances and reports root causes with solutions.
• Works collaboratively with colleagues and communicates effectively.
