Job summary

The Glenwood Community School District is seeking a dedicated Media Center Associate to support the Glenwood Community High School media center. The role focuses on maintaining an organized, well-functioning media center environment to help teachers and students access resources efficiently.

Responsibilities include assisting with materials, scheduling, inventory, checkout, and technology support, with an emphasis on maintaining order and providing robust library services.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with media materials / equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with materials at teacher's request.
• Assist with scheduling use and delivery of media.
• Send out overdue notices.
• Shelve materials.
• Assist with the annual inventory of media center materials and the preparation of lists of missing materials and materials to be discarded.
• Check-in new materials and equipment (unpack, verify invoices, process).
• Oversee the general neatness and attractiveness of the media center.
• Assist students in locating and using materials / equipment and work at the circulation desk as needed.
• Assist students with the usage of technology.
