Job summary

St. Louis Community College is seeking a Media Specialist to coordinate production, circulation, and maintenance of instructional media and equipment.

The role provides technical support and training to faculty, students, and staff on classroom systems and related devices. The successful candidate will manage equipment setups, inventory, and maintenance, assist with camcorders and media tools, and maintain central media resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with one year of related full-time experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and circulates instructional materials and equipment, maintaining patron records and arranging for inter-campus loans
• Provides equipment set-ups including computers, multimedia, LCD panels, speakers, microphones, and projectors, ensuring correct operation
• Assists faculty and students with the use of camcorders and other media equipment
• Performs routine or preventive maintenance on media equipment and conducts inventory
• Performs audio and video tape duplication, prepares media materials, and provides mounting and lamination services
• Maintains central library for films, videotape, and digital media, including inspection and editing systems
• Maintains appropriate files to support various functions and compiles statistics
• Additional duties as assigned
