Job summary

Med-Trans is seeking a qualified HAA Pilot for a full-time role in air medical transport. You will ensure aircraft readiness, coordinate with flight crews, and safely transport patients in accordance with FAA rules and Med-Trans procedures.

The position requires extensive rotorcraft experience and current FAA certificates; we offer a generous compensation package with a 15% geographic modifier, a $15K sign-on, and retention bonuses after three years.

Qualifications

• Must hold rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate and helicopter instrument rating.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate required.
• 2000 total flight hours with 1500 helicopter hours and 1000 helicopter PIC hours.
• 500 turbine helicopter hours and 200 night flight hours.
• 200 helicopter instrument hours (Actual/Hood/SIM).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical experts to transport customers safely.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches per manuals and FAR/Med-Trans rules.
• Maintain Med-Trans and regulatory documentation accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info and record changes per Med-Trans protocols.
• Maintain necessary certifications and ongoing training.

Pilot Incentives

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours

Preferred Qualifications

• EC145 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
