Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a registered nurse with an associate degree to provide direct patient care and participate in planning, teaching and discharge processes. The role requires Maryland RN licensure, CPR certification and strong communication skills to educate families and collaborate with the health team.

The nurse will apply the nursing process, coordinate daily care, document thoroughly, and support continuous quality improvement within the unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Maryland RN registration.
• CPR certification (Healthcare Provider, biennial).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develops and updates a written nursing plan of care.
• Administers medications and IV therapy with accuracy.
• Communicates patient status to care team and documents in the medical record.
• Coordinates patient activities with other disciplines and supports discharge planning.
• Engages in patient teaching and participates in quality improvement.
