Job summary

Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking a compassionate, organized Medication Technician to join our resident care team. The Med Tech administers medications accurately and on schedule while supporting residents’ safety, comfort, and well-being in a senior-living environment.

The ideal candidate has SC medication-administration credentials, at least three years of experience in assisted living or memory care, and strong attention to documentation and teamwork to help maintain a safe and respectful

Qualifications

• Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina medication-administration credentials.
• 3 years of experience or more required.
• Previous assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior-care experience required.
• Experience using QuickMAR is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and medication-documentation skills.
• Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in a resident’s condition.
• Dependable transportation and a record of punctual, consistent attendance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience caring for individuals living with dementia is preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies.
• Accurately document medication administration in QuickMAR.
• Maintain medication schedules and ensure medications are given on time.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition.
• Promptly report medication concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in condition to the nurse or appropriate supervisor.
• Review medication records for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with medication inventory, storage, ordering, and disposal.
• Follow infection-control practices and medication-management procedures.
• Provide resident care and assistance with daily needs as required.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, caregivers, and other members of the care team.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.

Position and Schedule

Shift: Full Time; 7am- 7pm or 7pm-7am
