Job summary

Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to join our resident care team. The Med Tech administers medications as prescribed and documents in QuickMAR while supporting safety, comfort, and well-being in a senior living setting.

The ideal candidate has SC credentials and 3+ years of experience in assisted living, memory care, or related fields, with strong attention to detail and teamwork. Shift options include full-time 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina medication-administration credentials.
• 3 years of experience or more required.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior care preferred.
• Experience using QuickMAR preferred.
• Strong documentation and reporting of medication administration.
• Ability to report changes in a resident’s condition promptly.
• Dependable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience caring for individuals with dementia preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies.
• Accurately document medication administration in QuickMAR.
• Maintain medication schedules and ensure medications are given on time.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition.
• Report medication concerns, refusals, errors, or changes in condition to the nurse or supervisor.
• Review medication records for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with medication inventory, storage, ordering, and disposal.
• Follow infection-control practices and medication-management procedures.
• Provide resident care and daily assistance as required.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, caregivers, and care team.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, person-centered environment.

The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications accurately and on schedule while supporting residents’ overall safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a senior-living or memory-care environment.
